Acuerdo de México
En la ciudad de México, a los 12 días del mes de Agosto de
1978, reunidos en la Primera Asamblea Mundial de Asociaciones de R.R.P.P. los
Presidentes de las entidades nacionales presentes, suscriben el siguiente
ACUERDO
El EJERCICIO PROFESIONAL DE LAS RELACIONES PUBLICAS EXIGE
UNA ACCIÓN PLANEADA, CON APOYO EN LA INVESTIGACIÓN, EN LA COMUNICACIÓN SISTEMÁTICA
Y EN LA PARTICIPACIÓN PROGRAMADA, PARA ELEVAR EL NIVEL DE ENTENDIMIENTO,
SOLIDARIDAD Y COLABORACIÓN ENTRE UNA ENTIDAD, PUBLICA O PRIVADA, Y LOS GRUPOS
SOCIALES A ELLA VINCULADOS, EN UN PROCESO DE INTEGRACIÓN DE INTERESES
LEGITIMADOS, PARA PROMOVER SU DESARROLLO RECIPROCO Y EL DE LA COMUNIDAD A LA
QUE PERTENECE.

The Mexican Statement
The following statement was adopted by the representatives
of National Public Relations Associations present at the I World Assembly of
Public Relations Associations and the I World Forum on Public Relations at
Mexico City on 12 August 1978.
AGREEMENT
PUBLIC RELATIONS PRACTICE IS THE ART AND SOCIAL SCIENCE OF
ANALYZING TRENDS, PREDICTING THEIR CONSEQUENCES, COUNSELLING ORGANIZATIONS
LEADERSHIP, AND IMPLEMENTING PLANNED PROGRAMS OF ACTION WHICH WILL SERVE BOTH
THE ORGANIZATIONS AND PUBLIC INTEREST.
